Progressive overload is a term that may seem self-explanatory or basic to most, but to some this can be a crucial tipping point in reaching success in there fitness goals. Progressive overload in its simplest terms means to consistently add more resistance to every training session. A few ways you can achieve progressive overload is by decreasing your rest time in-between sets or by adding more weight, sets or repetitions to each workout (a couple examples are listed below). In order for your muscles to grow to their fullest potential they must always face more and more resistance and never be allowed to adapt to the strain you put on them.
